To those who have been waiting, thank you for your patience. They are shipping out today.

I'm pretty happy with them. What do you think?

Niiiiiiiice. I'm about 3 days from a fret job so it will come in most handy. I'll let you know how it works.

Folks,

I contacted John Watkins to enquired about progress on these caul holders just yesterday. I was just looking for a heads up as I do hope to need them fairly soon. John replied without delay and confirmed that the caul holders were complete and would ship today.

He then offered to cover my shipping cost as comp for my patience.

John, whilst your offer is truly generous, in the interest of fairness I cannot accept. Please let me know what it cost you for shipping to AU. My patience, like all those here at the OLF fortunate enough to have taken advantage of your skill and generosity has obviously been rewarded.

Quality product at a fair and reasonable price was all I was ever after, by all accounts, you have more than delivered. That's comp enough for me anytime buddy.

PM me and I will settle my FULL account as agreed.

Thanks Mate

Kim

Thanks for the update John, i'm sure it was all worth the wait, if they look anything like the ones on the picture, it means you gave it lots of care in the making and that we're gonna be very happy with the results!

Regards

Serge

John, will your fret caul holder work with the standard StewMac sized ones?

John, did you make the set screws to fit the stew mac cauls? I know I've got a few stew mac cauls and they are a bit shorter than yours. I assume it isn't an issue.

Thanks John,

I am just about to cut fret slots and I have been thinking about how I was going to attach your cauls that I bought to my $3 bottle cap press. I just paid for your holder and will adapt the press to hold it.

Thanks again!

Shane

Thanks, Shane.

Paul, the set screws are positioned to fit the Stew-Mac inserts as well.

Hey John, I just ordered one on your site. Do you have a pic of the modified Vice Grip tool?
